Custom hardware & offline systems
Built for where
you work.
Your team. Your environment. Your requirements.
Clix designs, builds and configures independent computing systems around the work you need to keep doing. These seven configurations are starting points for a custom commission. Features and pricing reflect the compatible equipment and ready-made modules selected for your project.
Every configuration is designed to work offline and fetch online information when connected. The capabilities below are design goals, with equipment, compatibility and verification agreed for each project.
Discuss your requirements01 At home
Home offline preparedness.
Useful knowledge stays within reach when connectivity doesn’t.
Configure a compact, screenless mini PC purchased for your project, with offline AI and a local knowledge library. Keep practical information, reference maps, household documents and everyday tools close at hand.
Use the mini PC’s standard built-in networking and Wi-Fi for a simple household setup, without an added switch or router. Choose content and local tools around the people using them.
Next: Communities02 In the community
Campgrounds, remote villages & communities.
Shared resources. Local access. Room for local priorities.
Commission a stationary shared hub for community information, learning resources, documents and local tools. Include offline network-planning and troubleshooting knowledge for the people responsible for the service.
Configuration assistance for compatible equipment is planned with a saved backup, an undo plan and human approval before changes. Shape access and administration around local responsibilities.
Next: RV & recreation03 RV & recreation
RV & recreation.
Independent computing that travels with you.
Use your existing phone or tablet to reach a screenless system through a browser over local Wi-Fi. Keep trip information, offline maps, manuals and local tools available wherever you stop.
Plan protected 12 V accessory and household power inputs, with an internal battery, laptop-style charging and power-source switchover. Select compatible, ready-made power modules around the installation.

Trucking & construction.
Configure for the working day and the places it takes you.
Design around sustained daily use, a tougher enclosure, secure mounting and accessible USB ports. Keep work documents, offline reference information and local tools available in the cab or on site.
Removable tool-battery options are matched to selected compatible battery families and equipment. Use ready-made power management for charging and source switching, with the complete combination reviewed for the project.
Next: Response05 In response
Disaster response & search and rescue.
Local information. Shared maps. People in control.
Commission a portable, rugged field system with water protection selected for the operating conditions. Scope more capable local AI and preloaded medical and disaster-response references, with visible sources and dates and human review.
Plan upgraded, switchable GPS and mapping, comparison of incoming drone imagery with reference maps, and shared incident maps for searched areas, hazards and help requests.
The workspace supports qualified responders and established procedures. Medical and operational decisions remain with people.
06 Defence & security
Defence & security.
Start with the operating conditions. Engineer to the brief.
Scope higher-capacity computing, a larger team-approved offline library, secure communications, rugged power and defensive cybersecurity for authorized teams. Plan controlled access to reference information around your team’s responsibilities.
Potential interfaces include team-supplied communications, cameras and surveillance equipment, drone detection and monitoring, compatible fibre-linked inspection or reconnaissance systems, radar and environmental sensors. Team-supplied electronic-warfare equipment may also be considered under applicable authorization.
Compatibility and protocols are researched for each project. Environmental qualification, security assessment and acceptance testing are specified with an agreed verification process.
Next: Arctic field systems07 In the Arctic
Arctic field systems.
Plan for cold start, operation and charging.
Commission a cold-weather configuration for civilian field work as well as defence and security teams. Plan insulated housing, temperature monitoring and controlled heating around the equipment, power supply and working conditions.
Cold start, continued operation and battery charging have distinct requirements. Temperature limits and acceptance checks are agreed after equipment selection and testing.

Define the work.
Then build the system.
We select finished equipment with applicable approvals and compatible ready-made modules, keeping custom electronics to a minimum. The project review covers the complete assembly, including any certification or validation requirements. Design, sourcing, configuration and support are agreed around your needs.
Every configuration can include a separately purchased compatible screen, with the model chosen for the project. Switchable GPS is an option from RV & recreation upward. Battery options and charging arrangements are matched to the selected equipment.
